Short Samples
Interviewer:
"Can you tell us the story about how you inherited a love of art from your mother?"
Claire:
"In my earliest memories of her,
she always had tiny specs of dried paint
dabbled through her hair..."

Interviewer:
"I know that you wanted to leave a message to future generations. What did you want to say?"
Philip:
"This will take some time to explain in detail, but the first message is about the importance of maintaining family ties..."
Interviewer:
"You said earlier that you'd like to discuss
your philosophy on how to live a happy life.
What would you like us to know?"
Susan:
"Well, I'll admit that I haven't always lived
this way myself. It's been an evolution,
but here we go..."

Interviewer:
"We'd love to hear about the chance encounter you had in St. Louis that led to you meeting your future wife."
Dave:
"After all these years, it's impossible to believe that it would've never happened if I hadn't lost my keys..."

About Us
Legacy Lens Studios is founded on the belief that every person's life story deserves to be memorialized. Owned and operated by Todd Leatherman, a documentary cameraperson with over 15 years of experience, Legacy Lens brings a cinematic approach to personal storytelling. During the course of his career,
Todd has contributed to over 50 documentary films that have featured on platforms including Netflix,
Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV, Amazon, AMC, PBS, Showtime, Disney+, Discovery+ and National Geographic. Those films have won four Emmy Awards and one Academy Award nomination.
Over the past decade, Todd has also been filming interviews with Holocaust survivors for the
visual history archive at USC Shoah Foundation, created by Steven Spielberg. The unique approach that we bring to legacy storytelling is derived from a creative interpretation of these various filmmaking experiences.
Our boutique production company is rounded out by a number of freelance artists from previous documentary collaborations. Our ultimate goal is to transform your life stories into cinematic heirlooms that help strengthen the connection of friends and family across multiple generations. And we love what we do.
We are founded in memory of our beloved friend, Brooke Ellison, whose extraordinary life continues
to inspire our daily actions. In her honor, three percent of annual proceeds are donated to the
Brooke Ellison Legacy Scholarship.
